Sébastien Gaudard is set to open his third Parisian address in September : Le Grand Café Sébastien Gaudard.

After Martyrs and Tuileries, the chef will be setting up shop on rue du Faubourg Poissonnière! Conceived as a place to meet and share over 150m2, this neighborhood café will unveil a whole new universe borrowed from the 50s.

In addition to the chef’s most emblematic pastries and the already extensive grocery offer that Sébastien has been developing for years, Le Grand Café Sébastien Gaudard marks a new turning point in the career of the chef, who sees this new address as an opportunity to expand his expertise.

In September, Sébastien Gaudard will unveil a brand new address in the heart of Paris. Le Grand Café Sébastien Gaudard promises to be the back-to-school hotspot, any time of day.

A new flagship for the pastry chef from Lorraine.

After the Pâtisserie des Martyrs and the Salon de Thé des Tuileries, Sébastien Gaudard drops anchor at number 59 rue du Faubourg Poissonnière, in one of Paris’s most vibrant districts.

In addition to the chef’s most emblematic pastries and the already extensive grocery offer that Sébastien has been developing for years, Le Grand Café Sébastien Gaudard marks a new turning point in the career of the chef, who sees this new address as an opportunity to expand his expertise.

Conceived as a place to meet and share over 150m2, this neighborhood café will unveil a whole new universe borrowed from the 50s. It will welcome both “those who don’t have the time” with a takeaway offer, and “those who want to relax” with tasting areas on two levels.

A hybrid and unique place

From early morning, Parisians and tourists alike can enjoy quality coffee in a world dedicated to it. With recipes based on this star product, different extractions and precise infusions, the Chef is rediscovering the pleasure of coffee in different forms. His collection of teas will be complemented by a selection of coffees, bean or ground, for those who wish to extend the pleasure at home.

Pies will be a major focus, with signature recipes such as Tarte au Café, Tarte au Thé, the essential Tarte au citron and fruit tarts that evolve with the seasons.

On the savory side, Sébastien brings out the best in his native Lorraine! Quiches lorraines in a variety of flavors, pâtés lorrains, croque-monsieur, croissants jambon-comté, and other gougères will delight guests at lunchtime.

In the afternoon, Sébastien Gaudard will offer an Instant Café, just as gourmet as the unmissable Afternoon Tea, to rediscover the pleasure of tasting a quality coffee, accompanied by a pastry from the house.

Dans ce nouveau café-boutique, le chef invite à la découverte d’un nouvel univers dédié au café. Au rez-de-chaussée, l’espace de vente proposera les spécialités incontournables de la maison (pâtisseries, glaces, chocolats, viennoiseries…), auxquels s’ajoutent les produits de l’épicerie (café, thé, biscuits, gâteaux de voyage…) déjà connus des gourmands avertis. A l’ombre de la terrasse ou lovés à l’intérieur, place aux propositions salées et sucrées à toute heure de la journée. L’espace dégustation s’étendra également à l’étage, pour ceux qui souhaitent profiter d’un espace plus calme et intimiste.

Un café avant d’arriver au bureau, un déjeuner, qu’il soit sur le pouce ou ensoleillé en terrasse, une pause goûter en famille ou en solo autour d’une pâtisserie et d’un thé ou pour un verre de vin en fin de journée, ce nouveau lieu sera le repère des Parisiens épicuriens.
