For the first time, a coffee table by Philippe Hiquily will be on display, accompanied by a dining room set by Ado Chale (1980s). Echoing these historic pieces, Emmanuel Jonckers will present his “Royale” table in aeronautical metal and nickel silver, while Omar Chakil will unveil for the first time a series of monumental mirrors in alabaster and steel, designed especially for the event.

About Galerie Gastou at PAD London 2025

Once again this year, Galerie Gastou is teaming up with Féau Boiseries to design a stand with refined décor, combining palm wood and mirrors. In this exceptional setting, two historical masterpieces will be unveiled alongside contemporary pieces.

Béatrice Serre”Geysers” side tables, 2025

For the first time, one of Philippe Hiquily’s most beautiful coffee tables, created in 1977, when the artist was at the height of his sculptural career, will be on display, showcasing ideal proportions and breathtakingly delicate forms.

It will be accompanied by a dining room set designed by Ado Chale in the 1980s for a special commission. These two unique sets are of museum quality.

To complement these historic pieces, the gallery has invited two contemporary designers. Emmanuel Jonckers will present a “Royale” dining table in aeronautical metal and nickel silver, one of his most daring and spectacular creations.
Omar Chakil will unveil, for the first time, a series of monumental mirrors in alabaster and steel, designed especially for the event.

The hallmark of this 2025 edition will be excess—between heritage and creation, sculptural power and contemporary audacity.

About Galerie Gastou

With its sparkling terrazzo façade—an architectural masterpiece by Ettore Sottsass – Galerie Yves Gastou was founded in 1986.

Specializing in 20th-century decorative arts, Gastou’s Parisian gallery hosted the first exhibitions in France by the masters of 1980s design, such as the Memphis group, Shiro Kuramata, and Ron Arad. Following in the footsteps of great decorators such as Henri Samuel, Gastou juxtaposes the works of these designers with those of the great creators of the 1940s-1970s, including André Arbus, Gilbert Poillerat, Philippe Hiquily, Ado Chale, and Paul Evans.

Today, the gallery continues its quest for diversity and eclecticism by juxtaposing the masters of 20th-century design with 21st-century designers such as Agnès Debizet, Béatrice Serre, Emmanuel Jonckers, and Emmanuel Babled, always seeking to push the boundaries of furniture and sculpture.
