Sublimotion, the world’s first gastronomic show, created by chef Paco Roncero and artistic director Eduardo Gonzáles, celebrated its tenth anniversary at Hard Rock Ibiza on June 1, 2023.

A decade later, Sublimotion continues to surprise an increasingly demanding public, managing to differentiate itself and generate ever more enthusiasm with a unique immersive experience. It offers a new form of scenic art, transforming the table into a stage and placing the guest at the heart of the experience.

To celebrate this milestone, the 2023 season will kick off with a collaboration with Spanish artist Antonyo Marest, and will take place at the Sublimotion restaurant in Ibiza to create a large-format work, bringing art to the island’s streets.

Antonyo Marest, like Sublimotion, represents a unique Mediterranean artistic language and multicultural origins. In 2012, the two visionary founders met and decided to unite their teams to work together to create a groundbreaking concept. In collaboration with Palladium Hotel Group, they inaugurated an innovative show on the magnificent island of Ibiza, harmoniously fusing gastronomy, technology and staging. This revolutionary proposition manages to intensely stimulate each of the five senses, offering an unrivalled experience.

Sublimotion has enjoyed ten years of unforgettable moments. In its very first year, it won first prize for gastronomic innovation at the Hospitality Awards (2014). In 2016, thanks to augmented reality, it offers guests the chance to view nutritional information floating around dishes in real time, laying the foundations for the fusion of cutting-edge technology and haute gastronomy.

A few years later, guests were able to sample dishes in the metaverse, savoring real cuisine in a virtual environment, and in 2017, its founders were invited to participate in the “Cross Industry Innovation Summit” organized by NASA.

Sublimotion then crossed borders to take part in the Riyadh Season in Saudi Arabia, before completing two seasons of excellence in Dubai.

In 2020, the Planeta Group published the book “Sublimotion”, revealing some of its secrets, and in 2022 was awarded the Innovation Prize at the National Hospitality Awards.

Over the past ten years, Sublimotion has established itself as an inspiring culinary benchmark, marking a before and after, thanks to its perpetual evolution of an innovative gastronomic concept.

About Paco Roncero

He is one of the most eminent representatives of the Spanish culinary avant-garde, both nationally and internationally. His technical and creative innovation is reflected not only in his cooking style, but also in his approach to gastronomy as a unique sensory experience. He is one of the winners of the most prestigious gastronomic awards, including the 2005 “Chef L’Avenir” prize, awarded by the International Academy of Gastronomy, and the 2006 National Gastronomy award from the Royal Spanish Academy of Gastronomy. At the Paco Roncero restaurant, the chef has earned two Michelin stars and three awards in the Sol Repsol guide. In 2020, Paco Roncero was recognized as one of the world’s top 100 chefs by the prestigious international ranking The Best Chef Awards, ranking 71st.

In 2021, he reached 45th place, and climbed to 36th place in 2022. Among his many contributions to the contemporary culinary scene, the creation of Kitchen Manager stands out. This is a program developed to improve management performance in gastronomic environments. He has also published 5 books to date: XXI Century Tapas (Éditions Everest), Sandwiches et Salades (Éditions Everest), Pure Tapas (Éditions Everest), Running, Cooking and Being Happy (Éditions B) and Sublimotion (Éditions Planeta). He is currently working on his forthcoming sixth book, “The Silent Rebellion of Chef Paco Roncero” (Éditions Montagud). He is currently Executive Chef and Director of the NH Collection Casino in Madrid, as well as its restaurant Paco Roncero Restaurante. About Eduardo Gonzales (Vega Factory)

Associé fondateur et directeur artistique de Sublimotion. Après avoir terminé ses études en communication et design, il a entamé sa carrière professionnelle en tant que designer de produits pour le club de football du Real Madrid. Après cette première étape, il s’est lancé dans la conception et la production d’événements à Düsseldorf (Allemagne), et c’est en 2001 qu’il a créé le studio créatif et l’agence d’événements spéciaux Vega Factory. C’est lors de la production de ce dernier événement qu’il croise la route du chef Paco Roncero en 2012. Après avoir visité son atelier, une idée audacieuse naît : créer ensemble le tout premier spectacle gastronomique. Il est également co-auteur du livre Sublimotion et chroniqueur sur les événements et les spectacles pour des médias tels que Vanity Fair, IP Mark ou Ediciones Protocolo.
